Inspite of unpredictable delay in Rig movement due to the crack in Highway, this is heartening to know that the crews were safe and they also did not suffer any physical damage. Quippo's first drilling rig (a Kremco K750T - Mobile Drilling Rig) was contracted by ONGC on nomination basis (without the tendering process, after almost 20 years), evidencing Quippo's customer relationship management skills.

Quippo has also built several strong strategic alliances with market leaders like Schlumberger to create synergies and efficiencies in its drilling operations and creating value for the customer. This too shall ensure both longevity of existing contracts and procurement of new contracts.

Quippo has established strong vendor / supplier relationship which has resulted in extremely competitive pricing of rigs and ancillary equipment and also short delivery cycles. A delivery cycle of 5 months and 10 days for a 1300 HP VFD Mobile rig powered by Caterpillar Engines and equipped with American critical equipment an unimaginable timeline in today's market, has been achieved by QOGIL,thereby establishing Quippo's strength and value addition to the business.

We are proud to present one of the finest mobile drilling rigs in Quippo drilling rig fleet. This is National Oil well make K-750T-160 Tons 860 HP drilling rig fully equipped and manned to perform world class drilling operations. We take extreme pride in the competence and capability of our highly qualified, trained and experienced crew. Presently this rig is deployed with ONGC in western region for CBM project and has successfully completed 07 wells of average drill depth 1700 meter. Quippo Rig 1 is fast moving trailer mounted rig having DRECO mast and substructure. The rig design is such that if site condition is good for movement of crane and transport vehicles, then there is no need for concrete foundation for the rig for drilling operations. Rig uses mats under the carrier and sub structure and also has foldable load bearing pads for substructure. This helps in tremendous cost reduction and also fast drilling activity. Rig also does not need any guy wires and is free standing, telescopic hydraulic raised. This Rig worked with Cairn Energy and now with ONGC

Brief technical specs of the above rig which was manufactured in 1996 by National Oil Well (USA) are as under:

Mast capacity : 350,000 lbs ( 160 T)
Draw works capacity : 860 HP ( Two caterpillar 3408 engines)_
Depth rating: 3 ½" drill pipe = 3353 m; 4 ½" drill pipe = 2670 m.
Mast height : 116 ft · Sub structure height: 15.5 ft under rotary beam (sufficient to accommodate both BOP stacks) and 18.5 ft from ground to derrick floor.

All tubulars, handling tools, down hole tools, fishing tools, instrumentation accompanying the rig are in very good condition. We have two BOP stacks available i.e. 11" & 13 5/8" BOP (Annular & Double ram BOP). These are duly refurbished and certified by OEM workshop (Wesco, Abu Dhabi).The choke & kill manifold too is refurbished and certified by OEM workshop (Wesco, Abu Dhabi).The rig has brand new state of art, MI-Swaco, Solids control equipment. The entire package has valid and subsisting certification from OEM / Third party inspection agency.
