Quippo ventured into the Oil & Gas field after an in depth analysis of the Indian Oil & Gas sector entailing detailed interaction with all potential clients, who unequivocally acknowledged the need for an Indian Oil Field Equipment provider. Based on this credible information Quippo Infrastructure Equipment Ltd. acquired its first on-shore drilling rig in 2005. Since its foray into the Oil & Gas space, Quippo has met with considerable success strengthening the resolve and conviction to aggressively scale up the operations and build a bigger rig fleet.

Quippo secured its first drilling contract with Cairn Energy India Pvt. Ltd in June 2005 and successfully completed the drilling campaign of 8 wells in a record time of 5 months. Thereafter the Oil & Gas business was hived off into a separate company to ensure highest level of competence and efficiency, a demerger application was filled in the Hon'ble Delhi High Court to transfer the said business to QOGIL w.e.f. April 1, 2006.
