Our Strengths
- Visionary Management team - We have a strong professional management
team with a proven track-record. The management team conceptualized
Infrastructure Sharing in India and have successfully led the growth
of this company from less than 100 towers to become the largest Independent
Infrastructure Company with 38,000 towers a presence across the country.
- Creation of Shareholder Value - Viom Networks commenced commercial
operations in 2005 and in 5 years is estimated to be over
USD 5-6 bn. The ability of the management to create value
is evident from the backing that the company has received
from marquee international investors. Some of these include
SBI Macquarie, Swedfund, Bio and IDFC.
- Successful track record of partnerships with operators
- We have successfully managed a transaction wherein we acquired 12,000
towers of Tata Teleservices in 2008-09. We maintained industry benchmark
SLA during the seamless integration and transition of business processes,
technology, employees and tower assets of Tata Teleservices.
- Business and operational expertise
- We operate and manage 38,000 towers in
India highest standard of 'Quality of Services' (QoS) to our customers.
- Project management and roll out capabilities
- We can manage growth while maintaining quality.
In 2009-10, we rolled out 16,000 towers in less than 12 months,
a record un-matched by any other tower operator worldwide.
This enabled Uninor (Telenor) to roll out a near pan-India
coverage in less than a fifth of the time taken by its competitors.
- Our capabilities to increase efficiencies - We know
how to continuously build efficiencies while maintaining
and improving network KPI's for our operator partner.
- As an example, we enabled a reduction in per site Capex
by ~30% during the period April-Dec 2009.
- Our technology orientation enables efficiencies in Opex. E.g.
Our Tower Operations Centre ('TOC') enables near 100% remote management of sites.
- Strong Sales and Account Management - We have created value for Viom
and have the highest tenancy ratio in the industry of 2.3
tenants per tower against an industry average of 1.60. We achieved this through:
- Strong Customer focus through account management teams.
- Network planning and engineering that enabled converging the
network plans of 2 or more operators.
- Focus on Learning and Development -
As an organization we are focused on the development of our people.
In Viom, we have created the world's first and only Tower University
with learning modules on each segment of the business. This enables us
to impart the collective knowledge within the organization to new teams
as well as to further strengthen the concepts of existing teams and acts
as a leadership development program for select employees.
